Microsoft Windows operating system version & service pack level
Click the "Start" button, then choose "Control Panel".
In the Control Panel view, you may see links or tabs for
"Performance and Maintenance" or "System" or "Maintenance". Click any
of these. Your goal is to find the "System" icon.
Click the "System" icon.
The "System" window opens. You may see tabs at the top. If you see
a "General" tab, choose it; it may already be chosen, which is fine.
The "General" tab shows the operating system version. If you have
any service packs, the tab also shows the service pack level.
