Mobile phones are everywhere and getting more sophisticated each month.As more people use mobile web browsers, more companies are updating their websites to create special small-screen versions that work better on mobile phones.
Mobile phones cover a wide range:
- Smartphones like the iPhone, BlackBerry, and Treo have full web browsers.
- Most mobile phones can send and receive text messages, aka SMS.
- Many mobile phones can send and receive photos and videos, aka MMS.
- Some mobile phones can access corporate email, text-only websites, and news feeds.
There are also mobile devices that aren't phones. Typically these devices connect to the Internet using WIFI. Examples of mobile devices:
- The iPod Touch can transfer content using your computer's iTunes and also WIFI.
- Various game devices can play content from compact discs, dvds, and also WIFI.
- Some PDA devices can store content on Secure Digital (SD) cards
